Brazil El Dorado Corporation and Mining Equipment for Sale

Eldorado Gold Corporation has advised Brazauro that during the nine month period from August 2008 through the first quarter of 2009 it has expended C$5.1 million on Brazauro’s Tocantinzinho Project in Brazil for exploration, drilling, capital expenditures and other related matters. Under the terms of the Option/Joint Venture Agreement between Brazauro and Eldorado, before Eldorado may exercise its options to acquire up to a 75% interest in the Tocantinzinho Project, Eldorado must spend not less than C$9.5 million in qualified expenditures such as for mining equipment by July 28, 2010.

PHI Mining Group, Inc., a majority owned subsidiary of Providential Holdings, Inc., announced that Truong Son Metal Mineral Joint Stock Company (TSM.CO), a joint venture company between Vietnam-based Truong Son General Group of Youth Volunteers and PHI Mining’s wholly owned subsidiary Indochina Mining Corporation (IMC), has been granted the corporate registration certificate by Tuyen Quang Province, Vietnam, to engage in the exploitation of nonferrous ores and the production of lead, zinc and tin alloys. Initial chartered capital of TSM.CO is set at 83 billion Vietnamese Dongs, or equivalent to $4,760,540 at the current exchange rate of VND 17,435 to $US1.

Now, the Kendal plant is running at +20% better than original plant capacity, and plant yields are in the +50% range, a significant increase over the yields from previous months and is expected to produce in excess of 60,000 tonnes per month of saleable coal. Management expects total operating costs will be in the range of ZAR270 to ZAR300 per saleable tonne at full production (US$29.45 to US$32.50 at current exchange rates). March production was 109,639 ROM tonnes, in line with budget.

Plans for Kendal include a further production expansion in 2010 to increase the monthly ROM from approximately 120,000 tonnes per month to approximately 180,000 tonnes per month. Homeland owns 74% of the Kendal Colliery with the remaining 26% owned by Homeland’s Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) partner.
