Reuters reported that Kazakhstan plans to optimize their output of uranium by more than a third to about 12,000 tons next year, a move that could make the country's state atomic company the world's biggest producer and seeker of used mining equipment for sale.Kazatomprom is planning to increase production to 11,900-12,000 tons in 2009 from around 8,600 tons this year, vice president Sergei Yashin told Reuters in Moscow.
