"Right then you lot! I want a good clean heavy haulage movement. No cock-ups, smartly done and appearing on Biglorryblog too! Now fall-out and jump to it!" Yes Jeff Lee at the heavy haulage equipment specialists Tiandi heavy Industries in China makes a most welcome return to BLB, not least to tell me: "Hi Brian, here's another transformer move inSouthern China done by the same client using 2 x Actros 8x8 with a 12x4 TIANDI TJV4 multi-axle trailers. The 1000MW transformer weighed 542-tons (LxWxH, 10.5mx3.86mx5.5m), which is the biggest transformer that has ever been transported and used in China!" Here you see it being loaded and Jeff explains: "The TJV4 12x4 trailer's maximum loading capacity is 696-tons. with 20m length and 6.22m width. Two sets of load distribution beam systems were installed to distribute the 542-ton weight balance safely on to the trailer platform and to avoid any point overload during transportation."

And here it is on the move with an Actros 8x8 at both ends...

Jeff Lee who works for Tiandi Heavy Industries in China, the manufacturers of fine modular heavy haulage trailers has sent me these shots of Chinese heavy haulage movements, including this monster one through an underpass! Up front is a rather nice Actros Titan 8x8. Anyway Jeff says: "Brian, here are phtographs of 3 new heavy transport moveemnts from our client in South China with our TIANDI hydraulic trailers and some Mercedes Actros heavy-duty prime movers. The biggest one is a super large 420-tonne reactor transported by 18x4 side-by-side combined TIANDI trailers." Now click through here for more..

This looks to have an MAN at the back..unless it's a Chinese prime mover? And I guess these are the combiend side-by-side trailers...

Now here's something you don't see everyday...a heavy haulage movement hauled by a Chinese heavy hauler. And for a pie who can tell me what the truck is. meanwhile Biglorryblog is most grateful to Jeff Lee at Tiandi Heavy Industries, the special types trailer maker, who has supplied the shots....now click through here for more (and as usual they are in 'Expando-Vision) 

This one shows a load test takign place at the Tiandi factory..Tiandi make all sorts of special trailers from giant beam units to modular platforms...

And here's a Volvo hauling an 18 axle set modular unit from Tiandi with a vessel for the Chinese nuclear industry....

And don't run away with the idea that Tiandi kit is only used in China..it pops up all over the place..this 14-line modular low loader is in bahrain..and how about that classic Bulldog up front?

And this 12-line unit is working in India...

TIANDI lauches new hydraulic modular trailer

51.Chinese Leading Special Heavy Transport Vehicles Manufacturer - TIANDI Group (THI) and it's sub co. FLJ have just launched it's new TJV2 hydraulic moduar trailer which is also knowed as multi axle trailer. This trailer is the new upgrade version from TIANDI's regular TJV1 2990mm width modular trailer.



By remaining the great loading capacity (22.5ton @ 18km/h) as those previous models, TJV2's main upgrade features are as follows:
Smaller turning radius: The TJV2 trailer's first wheel steering angle has been upgraded from +/-50 degrees to +/-55 degrees.
Better passing through capacity: Platfrom height from 1080 +290/-310mm changed to 1080 +/-325mm, which makes the trailer has even better passing through capacity on rough road.
Easy connection: The pipe connecting system is moved to both side of the trailer, which is easier for piping line connection during module combination. Fast connectors helps to increase work efficiency and safty.

(According to customer requirement, TJV1 can be adjust to combine with Nicolas MDE type and TJV2 can be adjust to couple with Nicolas MDED type from Europe.)

TIANDI Unveils New Type of Multi Axle Trailer in China

China's key heavy duty transport vehicles manufacturing group TIANDI has just unveiled its new platfrom type Hydraulic Modular Trailer (Multi Axle). The new C type HMT has higher gross loading capacity of 36ton. new fast release couplings and connection pin motor. C type made for high loading capacity customer. 3 meters width, platfrom height 1175+/-300mm, first wheel max. steering angle +/-55 degrees.

Till now TIANDI offers A(3m, gridding), A1(3m, flatbed), B(3.4m, gridding), C(3m, flatbed) 4 series of hydraulic modular trailer for customer selection. Each series' can offers 2-7lines modules in commom., Split type (Half type) modules are also avaliable in all 4 series for lateral combination use(3 tandem, 4 tandem).
